Background
Maggie has 15 years of experience directing the financing, ownership, and 0-to-1 of early-stage companies. She brings a deep knowledge of equity transactions including due diligence, structuring, marketing, and operational management.
Maggie has a track record of profitable impact investing and strategic advising. She and her associates make investments that match risk with returns and reconnect investors with the performance of the companies they invest in, selecting companies in need of financing that make a positive impact in the world—without sacrificing returns.
Maggie is a managing member of independent restaurant fund, 86Fund, which she launched during the global pandemic to aid independent food producers, as well as Pèt Nat, a fund founded on the belief that the confluence of social, economic, and environmental factors offers positive investment opportunities.
Maggie has served on the board of directors for 18Reasons, a nonprofit organization focused on food security and education and a member of the Bi-Rite Market family in San Francisco, CA, as well as regularly contributed to numerous local and global sustainable food systems organizations, such as MAD (Copenhagen), Foodwise (San Francisco), and Kitchen Table Advisors (San Francisco). Currently, she contributes to Simple, an insights lab supporting family offices and private investors, on the topic of philanthropic venture and impact investing.
